The Secret Is Out

Hello!
I'm taking some time to update my blog and let everyone in on the secret I've been withholding. First of all, I have updated my website with all of the upcoming craft fairs I have booked so far. I am so excited to be a part of St. Simon's Craft Fair this year!!! It is a huge event, and I got a space there - HOORAY! On my last post I said that I wasn't going to do as many shows this season, but it turns out that I am actually doing the same amount this year afterall. My first show is next weekend, Oct.3rd at Mary Esther's United Methodist Church.

Now for the secret - Most of you know that my business has only been successful because of my cousin, Kim, and the "family secret". Well I'm happy to advertise for her ebay store and throw some flowers and business her way. She sells tarts, candle warmers, and other items that I do not have time to carry and promote. Please stop by and visit her ebay store at :

Wow - It's been awhile!

Hello Everyone!
I didn't realize that it has been so long since my last post. I really need to get back to blogging. It has been a really slow summer as far as my business goes, but a very busy one for me personally. I don't think I sat down for very long at all. I was able to enjoy the beach more than I ever have and spend lots of time with special friends.
I am back at work now at the school and have already reserved booth space for 4 craft shows this Fall. I did 8 last year, but I'm not so sure I will do all of the ones I attended last year.
My sales at Yesterday's Treasures have been steady all summer. I am running a special there now through Christmas. It's the best sale price I have ever offered. You can buy 3- 10 oz candles for $30, regularly priced at $12 each in the store. You can buy 3 - 6 oz candles for $15, and they sell for $6 each. You can always purchase these from me also at these prices. Just check out my website and drop me an email with what scents (flavors) you would like and what size.
I need to run for now, but I will post updates more often! I will let you know where to find me each weekend at the upcoming shows! I hope to see you there or hear from you!

I'm still here!

Hello!
I know it has been a long time since my last post. I have been extremely busy with my job at the school. I sold candles at two craft fairs in April, and I have one coming up in June. I'm still selling in Yesterday's Treasures in Crestview, and Abram's Antiques in Destin. I am running a special throughout the summer. Three six ounce candles for $15, they sell for $6 each, and three ten ounce candles for $30. They sell for $10.99 each.
The air fresheners sold very well at both craft fairs last month, and they are available for sale at Baker Tire Service across from Baker School.
I will be visiting Dunlap Tennessee again in 2 weeks and can't wait! We are going to the annual bluegrass festival there for a long weekend. We will also visit our land and eat at the Cookie Jar Cafe again (a highlight of the trip for me.) I will post again soon!

What's New!!!

Hello!

I know it's been a long time since I've given an update, but things have been hectic, and I didn't have any real news to share. We have started a completely new line of products to appeal to the men. They are cute and nice for ladies to. We are now introducing Car Air Fresheners. They are available in different shapes and scents. We have Pine, Clover, Cilantro, Leather, Vanilla, Cinnamon Red Hot, and Eucalyptus. They are available at Baker Tire Service in Baker, FL or through us. They sell for $1.50 each and will last approx. 3 mos. - just about the time for your next oil change.

I have also added some new candle scents. You can now purchase Eucalyptus Mint, Baby Powder, and Fresh Bread. I have ordered more scents to try, and they will be available next month.

We had a craft show scheduled for today on Main St. in Crestview, but we didn't attend because of the rain. I was very disappointed, but past experience taught us it would not be worth all of the trouble. We are scheduled for two craft shows in April and looking forward to those. They were very successful events last year. More details on those to come.

I will try to keep up with updates more often!

Mixed Blessings

I haven't updated in awhile because I have been very busy the past few weeks and have taken a nice break from the candles. Over a week ago, I received a large custom order from a lady I have done business with in the past. She is someone that will be ordering on a continuous basis, and I'm thankful that God has opened this door for me.

The same day I delivered her order, I also checked my inventory at the stores and had to make the hard decision to pull my candles out of one of them. There has been a theft problem, and I had little choice. I got more disheartening news today. The owner of The Purple Elephant is going out of business. This means my candles are no longer in Fort Walton Beach. I am praying God will open another door for me to find a location down there if it is His will.

On a positive note, I made some Valentine candles today, but they are cooling at the moment and not ready for pictures yet. I will be introducing them within the next two days, so check back for an update.
